What are cell groups?

In Citygate Church, we believe that church is much more than just meeting together on a Sunday morning for a couple of hours, but is in fact a large family with lots of relations! However, large families can be quite daunting to get to know and this is one of the reasons we have cell groups.
Quite simply, our cell groups are where the life of the church is expressed with between 10 and 20 people in each group committed to living the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and fulfilling the Great Comission (Matthew 28:19-20).
Cell groups are an expressions of the larger church community where each of us can best reach our full potential in Christ. Cells happen 24-7 but also meet mid-week to worship God together, apply Sunday’s teaching and encourage one another to impact our friends who don’t yet know the joy of a relationship with Jesus Christ. In a cell group you will get to know people of all ages and will develop encouraging and supportive relationships.
Everyone at Citygate is part of a cell group and you can be too!
Our cell groups are very varied and meet across Bournemouth and beyond on different nights of the week, so you should be able to find one where you will feel at home. Being part of a cell will help you feel part of the church very quickly. In this leaflet you will find basic information about all of our cell groups, roughly sorted by location.
Please find a cell group which looks relatively close to where you live and on a convenient evening and contact the leader for exact details of when and where they meet. If after visiting a cell you want to try another, please do but do make sure you find a group quickly and when sure let the leaders know you are staying.
