Why Freedom  In April 2009, Citygate begins a preaching series called Why Freedom. This series will from the basis of a course that will be begin in the Winter of 2009/10 and will probably run termly thereafter. However we felt that the whole church would benefit from these teachings, hence this series. Each of us arrive as Christians having gone through numerous life situations which can have had a negative affect on us and continue to affect us even as Christians. As a result it is important to see people set free and learn how to stay in that freedom which Christ promised when He said, “If the Son sets you free you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:32) The series will focus on helping Christians resolve personal and spiritual conflicts by connecting with this truth.   19 April // The importance of truth 26 April // Who am I? 3 May // Believing the truth 10 May // World's view on truth 24 May // Demolishing strongholds 31 May // Battle for our minds 7 June // Handling emotions 14 June // Forgiveness from the heart 21 June // Relating to others 28 June // Obedience on the path     There will also be a Freedom Day on 20th June for extended ministry and healing.
